Simplifying Onboarding for Better Retention 🚀

We redesigned the onboarding flow for MobiKwik to tackle high uninstall rates. Here’s what worked:

1️⃣ First Impressions Matter: Instead of overwhelming users with multiple steps, we introduced a single-line pitch screen as the first touchpoint. This helped communicate the app's value clearly and quickly.

2️⃣ Streamlined Signup: We reduced friction in the signup process, keeping it clean and simple, leading users directly to an OTP verification.

3️⃣ Personalized Journeys: Post-verification, we asked users a single, straightforward question: “What are you here for?” Based on their response, we directed them to their specific journey—whether it’s payments, loans, or other features.

This small but impactful change created a seamless and personalized onboarding experience, keeping users engaged and helping them find value right away.
