digital-analog handmade band poster process

Berlin based Chileano post-punk band Tsunamis reached out for a last-minute poster design for a home-coming gig at Santiago's Teatro Mori.

Referencing 90s gig fliers and homemade missing animal posters, I processed separate hand-written details to combine and overlay on digital images of the lead-singers dog, laser printing and re-scanning multiple times to recreate the aesthetic of a degraded photocopy and a feeling of immediacy. Designed to be easy for the band and promoter to print and distribute as posters and flyers quickly.
