The Old Lady

One of my biggest 2025 goals is to drastically improve my free drawing skills. It's been a long time since I dedicated real quality time to improving (or even maintaining) that aspect of my design skillset. So 2025 will be a year where I set aside the apps and programs that make my design life easier, and get back to the basics.

I'm focusing a lot on portraits—with a particular emphasis on conveying emotions via facial expressions—and on accurately sketching the human body in a variety of positions.

This is one of my early efforts for the year. It's not great, I know. But it's a good starting point for what I hope will be a year of improvement.
