Revisiting My 2016 Medical Illustrations for Doctor Doctor

Back in 2016, while working at Doctor Doctor, I was deeply inspired to use illustrations to capture the essence of doctor-patient connections. It felt like a perfect way to create empathy and put patients in relatable scenarios.

These pieces were designed for the homepage of a doctor search website and haven’t been shared until now. After sketching various scenes, I chose three universal situations:

A sick little girl with her dad at a GP visit

A pregnant woman consulting an ultrasound specialist

A patient with a toothache visiting a dentist

In these illustrations, I aimed to portray doctors as approachable and caring, hoping to evoke a sense of trust and comfort.
