The problem statement identifies the primary challenge: users like Ruby struggle to balance demanding schedules with managing their finances. They need an intuitive tool to simplify tracking expenses, managing budgets, and understanding spending habits. Addressing this need empowers users to escape the debt cycle and build a secure financial future, enhancing their overall quality of life.
Persona
I created Ruby’s persona by identifying the challenges faced by the user group, such as debt, time constraints, and the need for simple financial management. Through user research, I shaped Ruby as a marketing manager struggling with work-life balance, seeking a straightforward tool to improve her credit score and manage finances. The user group represented by these personas—Joseph, Leah, Elliot, Zareen, Alfie, Reena —shares the challenge of managing their finances amidst busy lives, limited financial literacy, and complex financial systems. They all need a simple, intuitive solution to improve their credit scores, track expenses, and make informed financial decisions without adding stress. Each persona, from students to professionals, seeks an efficient way to balance their responsibilities while gaining control over their financial future.
