Design system, Shatterline
How many?
Build the design system for Shatterline website, we decided to go further and on top of this system build different fractions brands. By doing that we tell a story with details and overall digital brand presents.
The Strafe faction became the first one, from our list, who adopt the core brand's graphical style together creating a sub-brand with an interesting style solution. This faction's identity incorporates the game's signature use of simple geometric forms and bold typography, applied dynamically at various scales. These elements intertwine with a layered, delayed application of geometric schemes, creating a visual "dance" that feels deliberate and immersive. This design draws inspiration from a fusion of the ascetic aesthetic of ecclesiastical architecture and the grandeur of the Gothic era, evoking the atmosphere of a canonical order within a sacred church.
The visual language plays with stark contrasts—forms and colors seemingly in conflict, yet ultimately harmonizing to reinforce the faction's identity. The tension between these elements mirrors the underlying themes of order and chaos within the game’s narrative.
On the visual side, the faction's characters are brought to life through highly detailed illustrations. Their automorphic proportions, realistic shadows, and lifelike materials not only ground them in the game’s world but also offer a complete representation of the Strafe organization as a critical part of the Shatterline story.
