TrendWeave - Sustainable Fashion E-commerce Design
Overview:
This project involved designing a modern, user-friendly e-commerce experience for TrendWeave, a sustainable fashion brand (made up by ChatGPT). Leveraging the brand's eco-conscious ethos, I created responsive wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for key pages of the website. This project was guided by a detailed branding outline and requirements, ensuring alignment with the brand's aesthetic and goals.
Challenges:
Designing an interface that effectively communicates TrendWeave's commitment to sustainability while remaining visually appealing and intuitive.
Creating a homepage that balances brand storytelling, product promotion, and navigation.
Designing a product page with interactive elements and clear access to related products, while adhering to the brand's minimalist design principles.
Ensuring the design is responsive across devices, with a mobile-first approach.
My Role:
Defined user personas based on TrendWeave’s target audience to guide the design decisions.
Conducted research into existing sustainable fashion and e-commerce websites to identify industry best practices.
Designed wireframes for the homepage, product page and product details page to map out content and functionality.
Developed high-fidelity, responsive mock-ups, incorporating the brand’s typography, color palette, and imagery guidelines.

Highlighted the brand’s ethos with hero sections and navigation elements.
Included featured collections (“Winter Essentials”) and promotional elements like “15% Off”
Designed a clear and intuitive navigation bar with categories like Men, Women and Sustainability.
Added a newsletter signup section with a clean, modern look to encourage engagement.
Product Page:
Focused on a clean minimalist design to showcase items and adhere to the requirements.
Included featured items to draw attention to new / seasonal items.
Product Details Page:
Focused on large, high-resolution images to showcase the product from multiple angles.
Created an intuitive layout for product details, including price, size options, colour swatches, and sustainability notes.
Designed a “You May Also Like” section for cross-selling related items.
Enhanced user experience with clear call-to-action buttons.

Reflection:
This project has shown me the importance between creativity and functionality, requiring adherence to brand guidelines while meeting modern e-commerce standards. This was my first e-commerce design and I have learned the importance of market research, setting up components and the importance of design iterations. By focusing on user-centric design and sustainability storytelling, I delivered a visually cohesive and responsive experience that aligns with TrendWeave’s mission.
