Magazine Cover and Layout Design
Nine Quill: Showcasing Graphic Design Expertise Through Magazine and Branding
As a graphic designer, I developed the conceptual sports brand Nine Quill to highlight my expertise in visual communication and creative branding. This project is a practical demonstration of my ability to design cohesive and impactful visuals, aligned with professional standards and client needs.
For this project, I designed a 16-page A4 sports magazine, emphasizing the elegance and passion of golf. The magazine features professional photography, modern typography, a refined CMYK color palette, and clean layouts that ensure both visual appeal and user engagement.
The project began with hand-drawn sketches for the brand’s logo, inspired by the number 9, symbolizing precision, focus, and excellence. Each page of the magazine reflects these values, showcasing my ability to translate brand identity into compelling designs.
This work demonstrates my skills in:
Graphic Design: Creating polished, visually engaging layouts and brand elements.
Logo Design and Branding: Crafting a memorable logo that embodies the brand’s core values.
Editorial Design: Structuring magazine content for both aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Typography and Color Theory: Utilizing modern fonts and accessible palettes to enhance the reading experience.
Photo Editing: Refining imagery to align with the brand’s visual tone using Adobe Photoshop.
InDesign Expertise: Preparing and formatting layouts for professional publication.
The Nine Quill project is an example of my ability to design user-focused visuals that maintain consistency across various platforms. While this project focuses on golf, the brand has the potential to expand into other sports products, showcasing my versatility in both design and branding.
