Project Background

Ecolaadpunt.nl is a forward-thinking company specializing in EV charging solutions for residential and commercial spaces. With the growing adoption of electric vehicles in the Netherlands, they aim to provide scalable, user-friendly, and future-proof charging systems.

Our task was to design and develop a platform that effectively captures leads, educates users on their offerings, and delivers a seamless experience across devices. The two core website segments, Home (personal users) and Commercial (business users), cater to diverse audiences with specific needs.

2. Our Motivation

Our primary goal was to elevate Ecolaadpunt.nl's digital presence, ensuring:

  • A better user experience to guide users through the purchasing or inquiry process.

  • Improved lead generation through intuitive forms and flow.

  • Enhanced brand perception with modern, responsive design.

  • Standing out among competitors in the rapidly evolving EV market.

3. Our Working Process

We approached this project methodically through the following phases:

  • Researched the EV market trends and user needs.

2. Define

  • Established pain points in the previous website.

  • Created user personas for both individual and commercial clients.

3. Ideate

  • Explored innovative solutions to streamline lead collection.

  • Sketched ideas for better form interaction and usability.

4. Design

  • Designed an interactive prototype for review.

  • Ensured accessibility and responsiveness.

5. Develop

  • Implemented designs using Node.js for a fast and scalable backend.

  • Ensured consistency across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.

4. Researching Competitor Websites

We studied competitors offering EV charging solutions, identifying areas where we could excel:

  • Simplifying inquiry forms.

  • Offering clear, segmented paths for personal and commercial users.

  • Providing detailed, visually appealing product explanations.
