A ‘typography out’ approach

Very soon, I’ll be blogging about the ‘typography out’, designing-in-the-browser approach I’ve taken to redesigning Smashing Magazine. In the meantime, though, here’s a little teaser.

It’s very rough around the edges (those icons were thrown together quickly as a proof-of-concept) and all very much subject to change.
