Redesign Challenge: Highlighting Workspace Features in Jaybod

I received a challenge to redesign Jaybod, a collaborative cloud storage platform by desktopIP, with the main focus on highlighting the Workspace feature. This feature is at the heart of supporting team collaboration and centralized file management.

Here’s how I approached this redesign:

1. Enhancing Workspace Visibility

   • - Redesigning the dashboard layout to position Workspace as the primary element.

   • - Adding quick access to active Workspaces and displaying a preview of recent activities.

2. Simplifying Workspace Navigation

   • - Integrating more intuitive search and filtering options to quickly find Workspaces.

   • - Restructuring the folder and file hierarchy to facilitate easier document management for teams.

3. Strengthening User Collaboration

   • - Displaying team member involvement in each Workspace in real-time.

   • - Adding features like commenting and task assignment directly within relevant files or folders.

4. Emphasizing Workspace Security

   • - Providing a clear view of access settings and user permissions within Workspaces.

   • - Highlighting indicators for files with recent updates or changes.

5. Modern and Functional Visual Design

   • - Using a minimalist design with visual elements that help users easily understand Workspace

   • - Delivering a responsive experience optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.
