Website for German Restaurant

My role: Senior UX/UI designer and Creative Director. Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final implementation

Goal: to create an engaging and user-friendly website for Traube, a traditional German restaurant, establishing its digital presence for the first time and incorporating modern features like online table reservations to enhance customer convenience and expand its reach.

Main challenge: translating the restaurant's traditional charm into a modern digital experience while meeting user expectations for functionality and ease of use.

Pain Point: lack of familiarity with digital tools such as online reservations among customers and staff.

Solution: implement a simple, intuitive reservation system and provide clear instructions for users while promoting this new feature consistently throughout sections.

Solution: develop standardized components, colors, and typography to ensure brand cohesion and consistency throughout all sections.

Pain Point: lack of digital assets reflecting the restaurant’s traditional charm.

Solution: conduct photoshoots and create custom visual content to authentically represent the restaurant and its dish quality.

Pain Point: presenting new information about the owners, the building's history, and staff in a way that feels authentic and engaging to customers.

Solution: design an interactive "About Us" section with compelling visuals, storytelling elements, and easy navigation to connect with customers on a personal level.

Solution: prioritize mobile design same as desktop to ensure accessibility across all devices.
