Walkies-Pet Walker Mobile Application

This is a case study for a pet walking app design. Hope you like it!

Target Audience

The target audience in this case is basically everyone who has a dog / cat.

Here's a examples of potential users:

Name: Lisa Martinez

  • Age: 35

  • Occupation: Marketing Manager at a digital agency

  • Background: Lisa lives in a bustling city and owns a 2-year-old Golden Retriever named Max. Her demanding full-time job often requires her to work late hours, leaving little time for evening walks. She needs a reliable dog walker for weekday evenings to keep Max active and happy.

Name: Sarah and Mike Thompson

  • Age: 45 and 47

  • Occupation: Business Owners

  • Background: This couple owns a small chain of bakeries and a senior Beagle named Toby. Their hectic daily schedules leave them little time for Toby’s walks. They prefer an experienced walker who understands the needs of older dogs and can handle Toby’s special care requirements.

Welcome Screens

The welcome screens are designed to guide users through a seamless onboarding experience. They demonstrate how effortless it is to schedule a pet walker for their dog or cat. Users can quickly set up their pet’s profile, explore a curated list of trusted walkers, and book the perfect match, all in just a few taps. These screens focus on creating a friendly, intuitive introduction to the service, emphasizing convenience and care.

Sign-Up & Sign-In Forms

For the sign-up and sign-in forms, I opted for a clean and user-friendly design to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. The layout focuses on simplicity and clarity, with clearly labelled fields and supportive UI elements like password visibility toggles.

Pet Profile Setup

This flow is designed to collect all the essential information about the user's pet to ensure a personalized experience. Users begin by entering details like the pet's name, type (dog or cat), and any special notes for the walker.

Next, they can customize the walk by selecting the duration (e.g., 10, 20, or 30 minutes) and scheduling specific days and times for the walks.

Finally, users provide their location to allow the app to display the most relevant and nearby walkers, ensuring a convenient and tailored service. The intuitive step-by-step process makes it easy for users to set up their pet's profile and start booking.

The Walker

After completing the setup flow, users land on this page, where they can browse pet walkers available near their location. The interface allows users to filter results or search for specific walkers easily.

Each walker card highlights key details, including their profile picture, years of experience, average rating, and hourly rate.

Upon selecting a walker, users can access a detailed profile displaying additional information such as the number of walks completed, overall rating, and reviews. From there, they can proceed to book the walker or view their schedule for availability.

Book the Walker

Once users select their preferred walker, they are directed to the booking screen, which displays the walker’s profile, hourly rate, and rating. The walk schedule is shown below, allowing users to review the days and times they’ve chosen for their pet’s walks.

If needed, users can modify the schedule by clicking on the option to change or schedule additional walks.

After confirming the schedule, users proceed to the payment screen, where they can securely input their payment details to complete the booking process.

Tracker

During the walk, users can monitor their pet’s stroll in real-time via the live map feature. The map displays the walker's current location, the route being taken, and the start and end points.

Additionally, users have options to call or message the walker directly for quick updates or assistance, ensuring peace of mind while the walk proceeds as planned.
