Playing with Grids and Waves: Finding Flow in Structure
I’ve been experimenting with grids lately, trying to see how they can work with more organic, flowing forms—like these wave-inspired illustrations. Grids are usually seen as strict and rigid, but I’ve found they can actually bring a sense of balance and rhythm to abstract designs. This collage is all about exploring that overlap between structure and creativity.
The bold colors—orange, blue, and yellow—help create contrast while still keeping everything cohesive. Each piece within the grid feels like its own little story, but together, they form a bigger picture. It’s been fun figuring out how to let the waves flow naturally within the constraints of the grid.
This is part of my ongoing process of blending clean, geometric design with softer, more fluid elements. It’s a challenge, but it’s also where I feel the most creative. What do you think? How do you use structure in your work without losing that creative spark?
