People, Object, Places Publication

Aka P.O.P, is a collaborative publication that explores the lives of people closest to the designers. My delegated chapter draws inspiration from my father and his favourite childhood show back in the Philippines: Voltes V. In the interview, he reflects on the constant buzz and excitement every time an episode would air as well as the political nuances of the show.

Execution-wise, I specifically focused on illustration, image-making techniques and publication design. The effects of the covers and contents page were achieved by dipping paper into marbled oil and food colouring which were scanned in and edited on Photoshop. All illustrations within the chapter are scanned-in and edited ink pen drawings.
