Elegant brushstrokes Logo design

So this was my first time creating a Logo. A friend gave me the task of designing a logo for her Art website. I had no idea where to start and what to do. I searched YouTube for a tutorial on how to make a logo, what things are kept in mind before designing a Logo etc. I made almost 20 variations before concluding that this was the logo I wanted. My friend also liked it a lot. 

I sticked with this design and further tried every other color combination. This was the color combination that satisfied me the most. Then I started with the alignment of the various elements used in this Logo. 

Finally, after spending entire two days, I made this Logo. It gave me the satisfaction any other logo could never have given.
