Small White Snowman is a platform designed to empower military members by helping them donate 50% of their savings to investment accounts, such as retirement or college savings. It simplifies financial management by offering tools to track savings transfers, view detailed reports, and connect with trusted investment partners.
Task
The objective was to develop an intuitive website where users can easily manage their savings. The platform needed to include a "Your Envelope" section to track savings transfers by date, retailer, and destination account. Additionally, the website required clear, user-friendly navigation, along with preloaded dummy profiles for members, retailers, and banking partners to demonstrate the functionality of savings management and reporting.
Challenge
The key challenge was to integrate savings tracking, partner reconciliation, and user-friendly design into a single platform. It was crucial to make the interface intuitive for military members while ensuring secure and transparent savings management. The platform also needed hidden functionality for retail and banking partners to access and reconcile transaction data.
Solution
The solution focused on creating a simple yet effective website with two main sections: a detailed savings tracker ("Your Envelope") and a landing page that communicates the platform's mission and services. The tracker provides users with detailed transaction breakdowns, while dummy profiles for partners allow for seamless testing of reconciliation functionalities.
Result
The platform successfully enables military members to manage their savings and track contributions with ease. The "Your Envelope" section offers clear and organized data, empowering users to understand their financial progress. Retailers and banks can also utilize hidden tabs to access reconciliation reports, ensuring secure and transparent financial operations.
