Empowering New Zealand's energy future takes more than a faultless national grid and an environmentally-friendly ambition. It takes engaging and effective communications.

Transpower owns and operates the National Grid - empowering New Zealand's energy future. I have been a part of the evolution of their visual identity through the design of publications, diagrams and internal sub-brands. Directional Māori patterns and gradient colours are used to represent the constant flow of energy that Transpower supply to the people of New Zealand.

I have recently planned and directed a comprehensive photo shoot of Transpower staff at their Wellington office. It was a great opportunity to get to know staff from different walks of life in their natural environment. Spending a day or two on location is one of the things I love most about working as a designer.
