Whil Concepts
Everything’s gonna be alright.
Whil is a mindfulness education program provided to employees on a Per Employee Per Month basis (PEPM) by thier employer. This is an ideal product concept for medium and large employers who understand the value of proactive health and wellness training to reduce stress, anxiety and depression while boosting positivity in the workplace. The program includes a leadership coaching curriculum, mindful meditation training, and a content catalogue tailored for a teen / young adult audience.
The platform consists of content management that serves curriculum to member employees informed by simple surveys that tailor the content to each member's needs. The system is also designed to extract meaningful data analytics to inform employers about employee population health and interests.
Originally a client of my digital agency, AVANT, Whil Concepts was in deep trouble and needed serious help. As the result of a tumultuous company start-up, the product team and most of management had revolted against leadership and investors. Several of the designers and engineers had left the company in a bad way, and the remaining production resources were on thier way out. This left nobody to support the product or the company's first customers. To make matters worse the product was steadily degrading because of a lack of documentation and infrustructure during a high turn-over phase, and there wasnt viable management to resolve the issues at hand. It was every start-ups nightmare!
I was asked by Vice President of Product to step in and help right the ship. At the time, I was looking for new challenges, and this situation had no lack of problems to dig into and untangle. During my time at Whil Concepts, I made introductions to potential partners to aide business development and helped hire and train a new team of production folks. With our new team, we installed agile methods that documented and ticketed every meaningful product and marketing asset and process in the company. We completely redesigned and recoded the product as a secure, compliant portal. The brand of the company was refreshed as well as all marketing materials, presentations, advertising, websites and collateral pieces. As a result of these efforts, by the end of my tenure Whil had a documented, secure, functional and compliant web and mobile-web product supported by a trained team. We had also started conversations with 3 of the 5 major employer health marketplaces, lined up a partnership deal with Virgin Pulse and the sales team was starting to close deals with independent employer customers.

Treatments for session intro and outros were developed, as well as animation sequences for pitch videos.
Refreshed Brand Identity
As the product evolved and the business began to find a market, we aligned the brand and identity to partner and customer expectations.
Collateral: Vertical Template
This collateral piece for the airline industry is based on a template we developed to sell the product into specific industry verticals.
Benefit Ad Campaign
We produced several new ad campaigns. This campaign focuses on the benefits of practicing regular mindfulness for various audiences.
Hero Ad Campaign
One of the campaigns we developed focuses on showcasing several of the teachers in the system. Each teacher has a unique history and adds a human story to the product experience that members can relate to.
Social Ads
The campaigns we developed we released on social media channels as apart of a lead acquisition funnel that integrated with marketing automation and Salesforce.

We developed this piece of collateral to walk new clients and partners through a simple three step process of implementing the program for their populations.

How To Guide
This trifold was produced as a simple guide and chart to distribute to members that explain pointers to mindfulness in the moment. The idea was to provide collateral to customers who would then distribute the materials in break rooms and employee training.

Mobile Marketing Site
A mobile friendly responsive marketing site was produced to promote the program through various SEM efforts.

A responsive marketing site was produced to promote the program through various SEM efforts.
Member Dashboard
A member dashboard was created to provide meaningful data to each member on their training history including badges, survey trends and content streaks. Member history ties into employer-provided insurance incentives and other wellness programs.
Member Home and Dashboard
The member home serves content based on history, preferences and profile insights from surveys. The member dashboard displays a full data based on the member profile and history. Member history ties into employer-provided insurance incentives and other wellness programs.
Mobile Member Home
The member home displays goals set by the member. Goals are collections of content grouped by theme. Engaging with content via the goal collections also pushes continuing content to the member home screen history lane.
Custom Content Player
The player was designed to play audio and video tracks. Surveys are integrated into the player sequences to gather more profile data on each member. End of session cards congratulate members on earning badges, continuing streaks, etc. and direct members to continue with the program.
WhilPower
WhilPower was designed as a wizard to help members quickly find content that is helpful in the moment. It is always accessible from content list screens throughout the platform, and categorizes content differently than the member home and explore content screens. WhilPower is designed to allow members to quickly get helpful coaching based on the amount of time the member has to train, and the desire for relief or a boost, or help sleeping.
