Dashboard Design for EdTech: Students & Teachers

Creating intuitive and engaging dashboards is key to improving the learning experience. For the AI course at SMART IT School, I designed a Student Dashboard design concept that ensures seamless navigation and quick access to key information.

The sidebar menu enables efficient navigation, while the homepage displays essential data at a glance: attendance, progress, schedule, and upcoming events. Students can effortlessly switch between courses or continue their studies with the "Go to the course" button that takes them directly to where they left off. A subtle CTA encourages students to book additional sessions with instructors when needed. To balance the information-heavy interface, I incorporated light, engaging illustrations that enhance user focus and reduce cognitive load.

Empowering Teachers: Gradebook Dashboard

The Teacher Dashboard features tailored navigation and role-specific tools to streamline their workflow. The Gradebook page allows instructors to efficiently evaluate and manage student performance.

The Gradebook table presents clear, concise columns for metrics such as attendance (in percentages) and homework completion (e.g., "5/3"). At the top, filters and categorization options (by course, topic, name, or date range) simplify data analysis, while pagination at the bottom ensures easy browsing. These design elements aim to save teachers time and provide an organized workspace.

By focusing on clarity and usability, I’ve crafted dashboards that address the unique needs of both students and teachers.
