Enjoying the Sound of the Wind
“Furin” (Japanese wind chime) is one of the items that symbolizes summer in Japan. They are generally made of glass, and when blown by the wind, they make a thin and high-pitched sound of “ting-a-ling.” That sound provides a refreshing relief from the uncomfortable humid heat of summer in Japan. In the summer, air conditioning is nice, but you might also like to feel the sound of the wind to cool down.
