LottoRace Instant Jackpot

About the Project

Designed for insertion into LottoRace Real Money Facebook games , the Instant Jackpot component is an interactive time-delayed popup that pops up during gameplay updating the user with relevant info about prizes, winners, Jackpot prizes, amount of deposit info and the eligibility to play other games.

The Problem

The initial idea was to have a container pops up on screen during gameplay without being intrusive and providing a wealth of information to the user. It had a prre-defined small size into which several dynamic components would update the user with relevant info about Jackpot Prizes, Winners and personal messages directed at the player himself. The challenge was to fit all these components into one small space and make it adaptive to different screen sizes and instances of the game which was played on different platforms.. While providing a wealth of information it also had to be very attractive and engaging. Time allocated to the project was limited.

Research

I focused my research on a vegas signs style with animated lights around the edges and a very bright red color for the background to make it pop out from the screen surrounding clutter. I also injected some bright colors on the different components that populates the popup and selected some fancy but gorgeous looking fonts that shows excitement and added some subtle line art effects in the background. The target was to design a nice and engaging popup not an annoying one that the user would dismiss quickly. Also ran a couple of visual audits on existing pop ups.

The Design

Worked with developers to convey my visions and design. Helped and assisted them in building from scratch different layers of code, animation and design. Ran several test with actual players and gathered data which influenced the final layout of the design under a very tough timeline.

Final Result

A sleek and beautiful engaging popup that is non intrusive to the user and displaying in real time all the information needed to make quick relevant decisions and proceed to the next step as well as giving him the opportunity to jump right in the middle of any game by learning the key features with the “How to play” link embedded within the popup. The pop up was a hit with million of users on Facebook. The feedback was very positive and boosted the company revenues with more players signing up for multiple games.
