Composition with Pink, Green and Gold

Our task was to design a special edition collection, to tell the story of the company's origins in Serbia through a bold and creative lens.

❤️🇷🇸 Inspired by the heart of Serbia, where tradition and innovation harmoniously meet, this collection weaves together two iconic elements: Piet Mondrian’s Composition II, a celebrated masterpiece from the Serbian National Museum, and the intricate “sovra” pattern of the Pirot rug. The result? Pirot Mondrian—a vibrant blend of cultural heritage and modern art.

This project holds a special place for me, as it’s a tribute to both Serbian craftsmanship and global artistic influence. I hope you find it as captivating as I do!

You may ask, why this unusual mix? It's not just about the vibrant colors and bold lines; it's a celebration of shared values. Becky, a Dutch company in Serbia, resonates with the principles of harmony, respect, and collegiality—values that echo through Mondrian's art.

Much like Mondrian, who constantly pushed the boundaries of art, and the artisans of Pirot who have crafted timeless carpets for generations, innovation is at the core of Becky's ethos. We strive for creativity, blending the old and the new, fostering an environment that embraces change and welcomes new ideas.
