The logotype embodies the creative spirit of the eRank's audience—innovative craftsmen—by combining a doodle-like "E" shape with the modern, sans-serif font. This fusion captures the essence of creativity and contemporary design.
We consistently use a doodle-like iconography across the marketing materials and website. These doodles not only represent concepts visually but also enhance photography and product screens, embedding Erank’s distinctive brand signature.
In photography, we emphasize authentic portraits of creators and craftsmen at work, capturing candid moments and natural light to create a genuine aesthetic that seamlessly aligns with the chosen color palette.
The rich Forest Green offers a stable foundation, while the vibrant Tangerine brings warmth and energy. The soft Cream adds balance, and the refined Lavender introduces a whimsical touch. Lastly, the rich Black provides striking contrast. This harmonious blend ensures a visually appealing and versatile design.
Bricolage Grotesk blends historical influences with modern trends, capturing the essence of hybrid identity with its unique design. Its distinctive character makes it a memorable headline font, ensuring our key messages stand out. Inter, designed by Rasmus Andersson, is a variable font family crafted for computer screens. Its tall x-height enhances readability of mixed-case text.
The website is a convergence of all the aforementioned aspects of the identity. Bricolage Grotesk headlines are supported by Inter for body copy. Forest Green and Cream serve as background and font colors, while Tangerine highlights calls-to-action and doodle-styled illustrations, seamlessly guiding the viewer's eye.
The ads unify key brand elements with Bricolage Grotesk for headlines and Inter for body copy. A diverse color palette adds contrast to the feed, with tints for flexibility. Doodle-style illustrations creatively enhance headlines and photography, while doodle-like shapes can be used as photo masks, giving the design a unique and cohesive look.
eRank is a leading analytics platform for Etsy sellers, providing essential insights to help them optimize their shops, track trends, and stay ahead of the competition.
When I joined the project, eRank’s branding and digital presence didn’t fully capture the spirit of its audience - creative entrepreneurs and artisans who value sustainability, craftsmanship, and innovation. My challenge was to redesign its identity and user experience to align with these values while enhancing its appeal to a growing global audience.
From crafting a fresh, cohesive brand identity to improving key touchpoints across the web and product, my work aimed to position eRank as an essential tool for empowering small business owners to thrive.
