There can be a temptation to go overboard with 3D environments and effects in web development, however a ‘less is more’ approach often results in a more effective and seamless experience.

This splash concept we created for Mont Blanc’s Emblem™ Series illustrates this - with a subtle but effective use of the 3D cologne we modeled - carefully integrated with the design using effective lighting, texturing and a simple but high-impact camera transition in response to the user scroll.
