"Wearing Many Hats"
My posting both here and on other design communities for the last two or so years has been scarce at best. When I started school design took a quick shift from being a part time job to being a hobby that I rarely have time for. I still love coming here to see what all of you are working on everyday so I thought it would be cool to give a quick view into what I'm now working on.
I recently got the opportunity to design this hard hat sticker graphic as a way to raise money at my university. The four hard hats above show the original design and the different companies I've had the pleasure of working for as a co-op student.
My first engineering job was working for the City of Hamilton in the Development Engineering department. I was responsible for reviewing design submissions for new subdivisions and building projects across the city. The next winter I went on to work at Dietrich Engineering Limited where I helped design tile and open ditch drainage systems in rural communities. This past fall I was working at EBS Geostructural where I supervised the installation of piles for deep foundations across Ontario. I'll be going back to work at EBS for another four months this summer.
I'm not sure how interesting this will be to anyone, but I thought I should at least give some kind of explanation as to why I barely post anything anymore. Hopefully I'll have at least a few projects to share over the course of this year.
