Once again, I'm delighted to find you leafing through the pages of Discover Saint-Barthélemy magazine. As we do every year, we've put our hearts into helping you discover or learn a little more about what makes Saint-Barthélemy tick, its beauty and its people.

As always, we've chosen to cover a range of themes, but one in particular will be in the spotlight in this issue: the island's heritage. The first part of the magazine is dedicated to this theme, with a fascinating encounter with Inrap archaeologists, a plunge into the past with a visit to Domaine Félicité, a veritable living museum of our island's memory, and the discovery of an endangered skill: latanier weaving.

Halfway between tradition and fashion, jewellery creations based on pearls will parade under the lens of Jeanne Le Menn, who will also present her personal work. For what would the magazine be without a nice spotlight on art in Saint-Barthélemy. Art in all its forms: photography with Jeanne, opera with Winona Berry, the art market with Space Gallery St Barth.

Finally, we'll savor the simple pleasures offered by our beautiful island with the discovery of an unusual hobby, that of shaper, which Antoine, alias Bongo. And we'll close this issue with a feast for the taste buds. There's something for everyone, with fusion cuisine under the expert hands of Jacques from Villa Chef St Barth and, for those with a sweet palate, patisserie with Malik and Mathilde from Chokola Vany, who will also be offering us an exclusive recipe.
