Vintage 70s inspired branding for a fun local coffee shop

The Steam Coffee Company is a specialty coffee shop based in Melbourne that loves everything to do with serving the perfect cup of coffee every time. Develop the branding for a local coffee shop that can also translate to use across social profiles, on materials, loyalty cards, the website, and more.

The brief: 70s Willy Wonka inspired branding for a local cafe that uses neutral colourings that display its specialty coffee and unique character. After some back and forth to ensure the moodboard was correct, I created the type based off the Willy Wonka and similar themed inspiration and added the level of embellishments around to signify the steam and coffee beans.

The colours were kept simple to the green as the primary, and then the rest flowed from there. Tshirts, coffee cups, coffee bean bags, and the website were then created to get the brand moving, followed by the graphics required to create the menus.All in all, a fun client to have that ended with a happy note.
