Children's book page – The elves and the shoe maker

This project involved creating a page illustration for a children’s book using traditional mediums to add detail and depth.

For children’s books and anything related to children, I prefer using soft shapes and colors. Therefore, I used watercolor pencils for everything except the background, which was done with watercolor.

The story “The Elves and the Shoemaker” was one of my favorite tales from childhood. The direction of light and shadows is indicated by dark blue pencils. I hope the bright colors will engage children and spark their interest in the story.
