Intermarché's private label, Selecção de Enófilos, brings together a wide variety of wines from various wine regions, with different quality levels. The need to create a coherent path to connect the different labels and increase the differentiation of the higher-quality wines led to the creation of a new graphic line. The communication is centered on the identification of wine regions, as this is one of the most important factors influencing consumer choice. The new image, through natural elements such as vines, birds, flowers, and native shrubs, reinforces ecological awareness and conveys an emotional message of harmony and beauty. In each region, a bird that supports wine production is highlighted. The insectivorous birds and plants used on the labels were selected based on bird sighting records collected from the various wine regions. When the vineyard is designed to preserve heterogeneous landscapes with greater diversity of birds and plants, it is better protected from pests. Insectivorous birds can be important allies in biocontrol for wine production. Native flowers promote biodiversity and support the balance of the entire ecosystem. The perfect symbiosis between animals and plants is celebrated. The natural elements are not just an inspiration, but represent the urgent need to restore the bonds with nature.
