Wedding Invite
This July I'll be getting married, so naturally I had to put together some invites. I don't often work in print so this was a great opportunity to work in a new way. I wanted to take advantage of the range of materials not usually available as a designer for screens.
As well as designing items for print, I also designed some rubber ink stamps for a wedding emblem and a return address. I spent some time choosing envelopes, and found these great ones with a string and washer seal.
I had the invite and RSVP printed at a independant printers in London Fields. Unfortunately I made the mistake of printing one of the includes at home, and this resulted in different tones of grey. The professional printed material was warmer in colour, while the neutral colours on the include were more blue.
As the subject matter was so personal, I spent a lot of time making sure I was happy with the design. The process took a lot of evenings, but I'd happily do it again. It's not often you get to design a milestone for your own life.
