Job Search Website
Research conducted (UX):
Kickoff meeting / SH interview
Competitor analysis
Direct and indirect competitors were identified. An analysis of three direct competitors (Work.ua, Rabota.ua, and Upwork) was conducted in terms of functionality. The strengths and weaknesses of their functionality (Points of Parity/Points of Difference) were identified, and the UI components of each of the three selected direct competitors were analyzed and documented.
In-Depth Interviews
Five in-depth interviews were conducted with relevant respondents. After each interview, transcription was performed. Finally, for summarization, an analysis of each interview was conducted.
Persons. Scenarios
Two personas were created based on the insights from five in-depth interviews, representing typical users in the field (using job search websites). Journey maps for these personas were developed, illustrating the sequence of steps that the user (specific persona) takes while interacting with the website. Subsequently, it was verified whether the persona and the user journey map align with the actual needs of the users.
Survey
Questions for the survey were prepared to validate the main hypotheses and "pains" formed based on previous research. All questions were organized in a Google survey. After the number of responses exceeded 40, the data was analyzed and conclusions were drawn regarding the hypotheses – whether they were confirmed or not.
User flow
The main user journey was modeled, including branches and various possible behavior types.
Information architecture
Prototyping
User Testing
Five different tasks were conducted with five respondents and their feedback was analyzed. Changes were made to the prototype based on the received results.
