WIP: Recreating the SpaceX Launch — How Far Can We Push the Limits of the 3D Web?
We all know the challenges of the 3D web. The more models we add, the more performance can suffer, forcing us into compromises—cutting back on detail, simplifying scenes.
Is this struggle with performance frustrating? Absolutely. It’s like hitting a ceiling on creativity just when things are getting exciting.
But we’re pushing the threshold of the 3D Web. We recreated every element of a SpaceX launch—rockets, launchpad, Tesla car, and even an astronaut in a Dragon suit.
Through advanced compression with Draco and KTX2, we reduced files from 100MB down to just 3MB and built the entire scene inside Peach Worlds Builder. The result? High-quality visuals, intact detail, and smooth, high FPS performance, even on mobile. ⚙️📲
