Painful works are accomplished for merit and the market.

Honest writing is conducted for oneself and ideas.

People always claim that creating new words causes people to worry.

But what people truly worry about is the anxious situation where they are unable to express themselves.

A great number of words are provided to people who wish to talk about sadness.

At least, it is more honest.

虚伪的作品是为权力、命令而做。

痛苦的作品是为功业、市场而做。

诚实的作品是为自己、理念而做。

人们总说为赋新词强说愁，

但人真的愁的情况是焦头烂额，是赋不出词的。

很多词都是强说愁的时候赋的，

至少更诚实。
