Newsroom AI feature: Generating a video based on an article

This feature transforms written content into engaging animations, bringing key points, data, or narratives to life within the article.

By analyzing article's text, the system identifies elements suitable for visual storytelling – such as statistics, timelines, processes, or pivotal moments – and automatically generates videos that complement the article’s message. These animations can help break up long blocks of text, engage visual learners, and highlight important information.

So, how does this work?

In the article editor, content writers can upload a photo or video to enhance their articles. Our concept takes this further: not only can AI-generated photos be created (a feature widely available in tools like Figma), but writers can also generate videos directly based on their article content. With a simple button click, they’re guided through a series of steps in a popup window, making the process seamless and intuitive.

The user begins by configuring settings such as video length, keywords, and selecting a preferred template from previously created options.

After confirming their choices, they proceed to the next step, where the AI analyzes the article and generates an initial video outline.

The AI-generated video content can then be edited by the user. Once approved, the next stage presents the video scenario.

The outline displays the sequence of scenes. If the user is satisfied, the AI proceeds to generate the final video.

The finished product is fully editable, allowing the content writer to make adjustments as needed. After completing a final review, the user can seamlessly embed the video into the article.

We believe that integrating a video generation feature directly into newsroom software offers significantly greater efficiency than relying on external tools. This solution enhances journalists' productivity by streamlining workflows and saving valuable time.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this idea. In fact, it’s more than just a concept—our team is currently developing an MVP, which we’d be happy to present upon request. Let’s discuss this and explore other potential opportunities we can bring to life together.
