Client Goal:

ThThe cover immediately conveys the tone and genre, capturing the attention of thriller and horror fans. This design sets the stage for an intense reading experience, ensuring the book stands out on shelves and online, sparking curiosity and a desire to uncover the story behind the sinister imagery. client needed a book cover that would convey a sense of lurking danger, suspense, and mystery for Evil Among Us, a thriller centered on hidden threats within an urban setting. The cover had to intrigue potential readers and establish the sinister atmosphere of the story, with a strong visual hint that evil is hidden just below the surface.

My Solution for client's problem:

To meet this goal, I designed a cover with a dark cityscape bathed in ominous red and black tones, evoking an unsettling feeling of dread. The faint outline of piercing eyes looming above the city skyline suggests a hidden, malevolent presence watching from the shadows. The distressed, blood-red typography for the title reinforces the horror and thriller vibe, while the tagline “They Live in the Shadows, Waiting to Strike” adds a chilling layer of anticipation. This design combines subtle menace with urban mystery, effectively drawing the reader's curiosity.
