Logos often need to be updated because they feel outdated. However, in this case, a redesign was necessary because the campaign was immediately successful. Open Streets was a very short campaign that Transportation Alternatives (TA) won very quickly after its announcement at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in NYC in 2020. The initial branding showed why open streets were necessary. TA needed to switch gears to show the solution — and why it needed to stay in place.
