SOLARIS: Exhibition Identity

The concept of the Solaris exhibition started from the novel with the same name written by Stanislaw Lem and the screenplay of the novel directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.

To get a better understanding of this project, I watched the movie Solaris directed by Tarkovsky. In the movie, Tarkovsky explores many themes, focusing mainly on feelings of the main character and the impact of space exploration on the human condition.

There are various interpretations from which I started in developing the visual identity of the exhibition:

• The geometric shapes as a distinctive element in the artist's paintings reflect thoughts, memories that materialize in different forms, in order to render certain emotional states.

• An exploration of human nature and personal identity by relating to infinite space - inner space as a microcosmic version of the outer space.
