JALAK - Bilingual Logotype Design
Jalak
JALAK is a brand dedicated to the production and offering of traditional woven textile products, known as "Fart-Bafi." The brand's name is inspired by an abstract decorative pattern found in the traditional handwoven fabrics of the village of Bozd (Torbat-e Jam). This pattern is designed in the shape of a diamond flower and is woven as a colorful decorative element on some of these handwoven textiles.
The abstract "Jalak" pattern is one of the unique and distinctive elements of Bezd’s traditional woven fabrics, created by the village women using thread and a purely traditional technique.
Bezd Village: The Origin of Traditional Handwoven Art
Bezd village, a part of Torbat-e Jam County, is located 20 kilometers southwest of this town and 190 kilometers from Mashhad. The village plays a vital role in preserving the art of "Fart-Bafi" due to the skill of its talented women in producing traditional handwoven textiles using thread.
Brand Positioning
The art of textile weaving in this village was traditionally sold at low prices. However, Jalak aims to become a luxury brand, offering its products as contemporary fashion items to discerning customers. Jalak targets an audience that views these products as high-quality, valuable items.
Target Audience and Market Expansion
One of Jalak's long-term goals is to export to Arab countries, where products will be offered in special packaging. The brand's main audience includes middle to upper-class women and girls who value simplicity, authenticity, and vibrant color diversity. Wealthy women and girls in Arab countries are also a key target audience for the Jalak brand.
Brand Personality
Jalak embodies a feminine character—graceful, calm, traditional, yet luxurious and modern. The brand aims to stay rooted in its historical origins while evolving to embrace modern fashion and appeal to a younger audience.
Empowering Handicrafts by Merging Tradition and Modernity
Jalak is a brand dedicated to showcasing and promoting the handicrafts of rural women artisans. Utilizing digital platforms, particularly Instagram, Jalak aims to introduce these unique products to a broader audience. The primary goal of Jalak is to create employment opportunities for village women and to preserve their traditional arts.
Brand Mission and Vision
Jalak’s mission is rooted in social responsibility and charitable goals to preserve the art of handwoven textiles. Starting with towel weaving, the brand is now expanding its product line, with plans to add embroidered items in the future.
