Fire Cured Festival

The City of Springfield reached out to partner on branding their inaugural Fire Cured Festival — a celebration of all things fire and smoke. The city and surrounding countryside has a rich history of producing fire-cured tobacco, corn whiskey aged in charred oak, richly smoked barbecue, and more, and wanted to craft a festival around these themes along with live music and family-friendly fun.

The studio developed a responsive branding system with a series of logo lockups, custom type treatments, hand-illustration icon, and creative direction around merchandise and promotional materials.

The resulting visual identity blends a heritage, patinaed aesthetic with a contemporary sense of fun and approachability, and a flexible system for use across a full range of media.
