Coco
El Coco is a figure from Hispanic and Latin American folklore used to scare children into behaving or sleeping. It’s often depicted as a dark, shapeless monster that hides in closets or under beds. Originating in medieval Spain, it serves as a disciplinary figure in oral tradition, warning children that El Coco will take them away if they misbehave.
