Project Chameleon booklet design
Project Chameleon
Redesign of the Chameleon booklets for our long-time collaborators Global Policing Limited
Project type: Booklet design
Working with: Global Policing Limited
Completed: August 2024
Sector: Education
Project Chameleon is a 10-week education program delivered by the ex-police officer trainers at Global Policing Limited. The content is focused on various aspects of law and crime, helping young people to make positive choices going forward and it’s been featured on ITV News. The booklets we’ve designed include activities, questions and links to the interactive bits that pupils will see on-screen as a whole class.
We designed the first Chameleon booklets in 2016 and this iteration is the third. The graphic design style of older versions was ‘street’, featuring stencilled icons, halftone graphics and grunge elements. We’ve gone much cleaner here by removing all the grunge, replacing Lato with Neue Haas Unica and increasing font sizes and gutter widths. User experience for neurodiverse people often focuses on digital design like apps and websites but a booklet design must also consider this of utmost importance. BTW, this guide is really, really good: https://neurodiversity.design
