Geometric Echoes I
An exploration of the interplay between defined form and fluid expression. This afternoon, I found myself with some unexpected free time, and I felt this urge to just play around with shapes and watercolor.
I've utilized a limited palette of black ink on a white background, allowing the focus to remain on the interaction of shapes and the dynamic flow of the watercolor. The circles, squares, and triangles provide a structural framework, while the washes of ink introduce an element of unpredictability and organic movement.
I'm really drawn to the contrasts within the piece: the sharp lines against the diffused washes, the precise geometry against the uncontrolled bleeds. These juxtapositions create a visual tension that, I believe, speaks to the inherent duality of order and chaos, structure and freedom.
I hope this piece invites you to contemplate those contrasts, to find beauty in imperfection, and to appreciate the expressive potential of abstract forms.
