Packaging Design for Carry Out Order

University Project. Where we designed a box for a meal from an assigned country. I had to design about Japan. Unlike the adorable aesthetic that is applied to it, when it comes to this country, I decided to take a more historical route.

As legend has it, a samurai murdered, and threw her into the river, one of his concubines named Sayori. After being deceived by the other concubines, that Sayori was cheating on him with a palace worker.

The outside of the box represents the creature that Sayuri transformed into, an Furagiri, on the banks of the river. The interior represents the crime scene. The river that Sayuri was thrown into. By consuming the food, alluding that one consumes a bit of Sayuri's soul.
