AIA Innovation City - Scorecard & Webpage Interaction
Situation: AIA Group Limited, Asia's leading insurance company, decided to explore virtual space to gather opinions and ideas from their employees. They aimed to build a web-based platform that would assist young professionals in financial planning and identifying the most suitable insurance products for their needs and ambitions. The platform was designed to be engaging, using gamification to encourage user participation and task completion.
Task: As the Visual Design Lead, I was responsible for designing a city-based scorecard and webpage interactions for the first phase of the project. My role was hands-on work on each element also involved overseeing the work of a team of junior UX designers and collaborating with the development team to ensure the designs were implemented correctly and fine-tuned as needed.
Action: I led the design process, creating three proof-of-concept (POC) designs for the scorecard webpage interactions. I worked closely with other designers and developers to develop the entire storyline and user experience, ensuring the platform was both functional and engaging. The project required extensive collaboration and attention to detail, as we incorporated gamification elements to make the platform more interactive and appealing.
Result: The project resulted in a successful and engaging virtual space where users could easily navigate and interact with various financial planning tools. The platform not only provided valuable information and resources but also encouraged users to express their ideas and opinions through an innovative and immersive experience. The project was a rewarding experience, involving intense effort and dedication, and ultimately achieved the client's objectives of engaging young professionals and helping them make informed decisions about their financial futures. (As a core Visual Designer, I have had the opportunity to learn new tools such as Spline, Shapr3D, along with Figma, and Miro/Mural. Personally, this has been a significant achievement for me.
