Black in AI
Black in AI is an initiative founded in 2017 to increase the representation of Black individuals in the field of artificial intelligence. Their mission is to promote diversity, provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities for Black AI professionals and students. Through conferences, workshops, and partnerships, they advocate for ethical AI development while addressing biases in AI systems, fostering a more inclusive AI community.
We teamed up with Status Branding to create a new branding identity that aligns with the latest technologies and more clearly communicates their mission. Our goal was to design a scalable and modern identity that showcased both the technological aspects of their work and the human potential they nurture. In addition to the branding, we developed a new website that embodies their future-forward vision while maintaining accessibility and inspiration.
Although we believed one of our design proposals was the ideal choice, the client ultimately chose a different direction, which we also created for them.
