Dutch Educational app for children

🐳 Time for more meaningful tech for children

Let's intervene, and make more healthy tech for kiddos! Are We There Yet, is an educational app for children from The Netherlands. The app is an intersection between entertainment and learning, offering children fun challenges that teach them about the rapidly evolving world around them.

Over the past few decades, tech companies have prioritized user engagement over learning and growth, leading to addictive behavior for adults and children. They’re designed to keep people hooked and give instant gratification. After a while, they can distort the brain’s dopamine production which directly influences the capacity for long-term effort. And this is especially concerning for children with a long learning curve ahead of them.

With the very few healthy digital experiences for children available, many parents feel the connection between them and their children eroding due to screens. That's why we developed science-backed methods that create the ultimate learning environment for children that emphasizes social connection. The goal was to activate children's innate curiosity and experience to help them learn new things through gamified challenges. Using the online to get offline and blending entertainment and education to shift the way children think about learning back to its natural stage.
