Netflix x Sparknotes

My brother has been trying, even pleading, to get me to watch Stranger Things for the longest time. I watched one episode but failed to get hooked. It's not a bad show. It's more of an "it's not you, it's me" problem.

Just like Stranger Things, there are many other shows I still need to watch to participate in Netflix series conversations. So, it got me thinking...

What If... Netflix had a "Sparknotes" version of the show? A 10-minute highlight reel with all the important events, plus quotable scenes so you can pretend you've watched the entire thing next time someone brings up "Beef."

I'd like to think that this would be a particularly useful feature, but it will definitely decrease "Time Spent on the App," which is probably not something that Netflix executives are looking for.

But, maybe, we the people are.
