Quad Studio
Dundle.com
Hey there! I'm hoping you're all having a great day. I want to talk about a project I finished for Quad Studio: redesigning dundle.com. Let's kick things off by discussing the project background.
I was asked to review the checkflow of the dundle.com website and then redesign the user flow based on my own perspective.
After analyzing the website, I've outlined the issues I found with the checkout process.
This website operates in the field of selling digital gift cards. Accessibility and purchasing on this site are straightforward for users, as they can select a product based on their chosen country or region (products differ by country, and some products may not be available in certain regions—e.g., PlayStation gift cards are not available in Hong Kong) and preferred currency, without the need to create an account. The user only needs an email address. The payment is processed based on the selected payment method, and the purchased product information is sent to the email specified during the purchase. It is also worth mentioning that users can apply a discount code during the purchase.Regarding additional details, the website allows users to personalize products for special occasions like birthdays when receiving them via the specified email. The presence of a navigation bar ensures clear transparency of the process, as the payment status is shown at each step, allowing users to know which steps have been completed and what remains. Users can also navigate back to previous steps using the designated buttons if needed.Detailed payment information is clearly presented based on the selected payment method during the final step, and the transaction is completed after the payment is made. The website does not offer live chat support; instead, users can contact customer service through email via the "Contact Us" section or by consulting the "Most Important Topics" help center.Additionally, order history can be requested by entering your email address in a designated section. With each product purchase, users earn specific points called "Dundle Coins." Accumulating these points leads to rewards and free digital gift cards."The user interface, while characterized by its simplicity and minimalism, could be enhanced to surpass those of its competitors.
dundle.com user flow ( checkout flow)
In addition to these points, I also analyzed the direct competitors of this website, including
Recharge, Egifter, giftcards.com, bitrefill.com, G2A, offgamers, and Startselect.
Analysis of Competitors' Checkout Pages (Checkout Flow)
Similarities Between These Websites:
Simplicity in Design and Layout, and Smooth Process Flow:
Most websites had a simple and clear design, featuring a step-by-step checkout process. A minimalist design with a lack of clutter, along with the inclusion of basic checkout steps (usually reviewing the shopping cart, payment, and final confirmation), was a common feature across the majority of the sites.
Clarity, Readability, and Progress Tracking:
Most websites used clear text and visible buttons that helped users easily navigate through the process. Progress bars or stage indicators were commonly displayed to show the current status of the checkout process.
Support, Accessibility, and Information Transparency:
Support options such as live chat or FAQ sections were generally available to assist users. Costs and any additional charges were clearly displayed before the purchase was finalized.

Now, moving on to the differences that set these sites apart:
Design and Layout:
Recharge: Minimalist design with logical grouping. Egifter: Simple design with organized steps. giftcards.com: Clean design but may include additional ads. bitrefill.com: Functional design with a focus on cryptocurrency. G2A: Functional design but may be cluttered. OffGamers: Functional and clean design with a better user interface compared to others.
Ease of Entering Information:
Recharge and Egifter: Simple and user-friendly forms. bitrefill.com: Forms for cryptocurrency might be more complex. G2A: Standard forms, but may include optional fields.
Clarity in Progress Tracking:
Recharge and giftcards.com: Clear progress indicators. bitrefill.com: Progress may not be displayed clearly. G2A: Visible progress bar, but it may include additional ads.
Support and Transparency in Information:
Recharge and giftcards.com: Costs and extra fees are clearly displayed. bitrefill.com: Cryptocurrency exchange rates are clearly shown. Recharge and OffGamers: Visible support with live chat. bitrefill.com: Limited support, mostly via email.
Ultimately, after conducting research, collecting data, and comparing competitors, I arrived at this conclusion.

Conclusion:To improve the checkout process on Dundle.com, implementing account creation, enhancing online support, refining the user interface, and adding features like cart saving and access to past orders are key changes that could enhance the user experience and give the site a competitive edge.
Adding Account Creation:Benefit: Enabling account creation allows users to easily manage their purchase information and order history, while also taking full advantage of rewards such as Dundle Coins. It also supports a more transparent and appealing rewards system for users. Why is it necessary? Competitors like G2A and giftcards.com offer this feature, allowing users to utilize saved carts and track their orders. This leads to improved user experience and increased loyalty to the site.Suggestion: Implement optional account creation. Users seeking quick purchases wouldn’t be required to sign up, but frequent customers could store payment details and order history. Additionally, the cart-saving feature should be available for those with accounts.
Enhancing Support and Adding Live Chat:Benefit: Competitors such as Recharge and offgamers offer live chat support, which allows customer issues to be resolved quickly and efficiently. Why is it necessary? The lack of online support on Dundle.com is a disadvantage. When users encounter issues during purchase or checkout, live chat can significantly
improve the process.Suggestion: Add live chat functionality along with a more comprehensive FAQ section that reflects real customer experiences, thereby improving user satisfaction.Improving User Interface (UI):Benefit: Sites like offgamers have a more user-friendly interface, which contributes to a better user experience. Enhancing the UI on Dundle.com would make the site more visually appealing and easier to navigate.
Then, I started the redesign of the website's checkout flow.
As part of the project, I designed two distinct layouts for the shopping cart page
Finally, the new user flow of the site's checkout
Additionally, I was tasked with developing a Customer Journey Map (CJM) for the website, tailored to the findings of my analysis and the specific needs of the users.
