Tetris

Tetris is one of the most popular video games of all time and is still widely played today. The game was designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984, while he was working at the Dorodnicyn Computer Center of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in Moscow.

The name "Tetris" comes from the Greek word "tetra," which means "four." Tetris has been released on almost every gaming platform, including arcade machines, home consoles, and personal computers. When Tetris was released in 1989, it sold over 35 million copies.
